Presentation of the program

Would you like to volunteer? We offer long-term volunteering opportunities for 4 young people from EU countries. The main task of the volunteers will be to facilitate different after-school club activities for children in the surrounding villages of Miercurea-Ciuc. The main focus will be on the topic of "Digitalization". Each day of the week ESC volunteers will go to different villages to provide numerous beneficial activities for various rural children. Through non-formal education and fun activities, volunteers will develop the social and English language skills of the children and enrich the educational environment, develop children's and volunteers’ digital skills. In the after-school clubs volunteers spend part of their time working in groups and part of their time working with individual children. With this project, you can make a meaningful contribution to society, generate a significant impact, and truly help children in need.

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
