About the local hosting organization

24 September School (24SS) is located in a
remote village of Kampong Speu Province,
where many teenagers face limited
opportunities and often turn to construction
or factory work due to poverty and a lack of
access to education. For many families here,
survival takes priority over schooling.

Since 2014, Cambodian Youth Action (CYA) has been working closely
with this community, providing English language classes and
supporting the renovation of classrooms to create better learning
environments. In a village where foreign visitors are rare, the presence
of international volunteers brings excitement and hope—offering
students a chance to learn new skills, connect with the world, and
dream bigger.
By joining this program, you’ll not only help improve education but
also experience meaningful cultural exchange, leaving a lasting impact
on the lives of these children and their community.
