Presentation of the program
About the accommodation
About the food
All meals are included. Volunteers will take turns cooking for the group, sharing recipes and learning to prepare traditional Japanese home-style dishes. You will have the chance to taste regional specialties, including dishes featuring the freshly harvested sudachi, Tokushima-style ramen, and fresh local produce. This communal approach to meals is a central part of the team-building and cultural exchange experience.
About the location
About the leisure
The project is located in Oi-cho, a rural part of Anan city in Tokushima Prefecture. This beautiful area offers a peaceful escape and a glimpse into the heart of rural Japan.During your free time, you will have plenty of opportunities to explore the rich culture and stunning nature of Shikoku. Potential activities include:
Exploring the Pilgrimage Route: Visit and hike around Kakurin-ji, the 20th temple on the 88-temple pilgrimage route, and soak in its serene spiritual atmosphere.
Joining Local Festivities: Depending on the timing of your stay, you may have the chance to participate in vibrant local festivals and community events.
Discovering Tokushima: Explore the surrounding region, known for the dramatic Naruto whirlpools, the secluded Iya Valley with its vine bridges, and the world-famous Awa Odori dance festival in August.

We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable volunteers. The most important qualifications are:
A positive and open-minded attitude.
A willingness to engage in physical farm work.
A genuine desire to communicate and connect with local people, even with potential language barriers.
