Presentation of the program
We invite volunteers to work in the projects of social village: agricultural section and gardening; creative workshops; household support. People with different mental and physical abilities live here together. Svetlana village appeared in 1994 as part of the international movement camphill i a therapeutic commune for people with mental disabilities.Now )Svetlanai is four houses, a farm, a garden, an apiary. Residents came here from different cities of Russia. The number of residents in the village varies, now there are 12 wards and a core of several employees, all residents are adults. In 2025, the village is actively setting up production in inclusive workshops, you can participate in the work and gain new skills i carpentry, candle making, hand-sculpting from clay and other creative projects.What to do:1) Housekeeping2) Social work3) Gardening4) Cooking5) Art6) FarmingWorking hours on weekdays: 11:00 to 13:00, 15:00 to 16:30, and 17:00 to 18:30. On Saturdays, only in the morning, Sundays are a day off.
About the accommodation
Separate rooms in heated houses. Toilets, bathrooms and showers are shared. Bathhouse (banya) on Sundays.Meal schedule on weekdays: 8:00 breakfast, 10:30 tea break, 13:00 lunch, 16:30 tea break, 19:00 dinner. Late breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday. The nearest store is 7 km from the village. The village has shared bicycles and a boat. There is a river near the village (300 m).
About the location
The village is located on the bank of the Syas River, 10 km from Lake Ladoga, 120 km from St. Petersburg (3HHH WF - google maps). We organize a transfer for volunteers from the city of Syasstroy, Volkhov, Aleksino microdistrict, a meeting in St. Petersburg is also possible.
