About the local hosting organization

Tuburan Coffee Farmers Association (TCFA) is a community-driven initiative aimed at promoting sustainable coffee farming practices while supporting local farmers in Tuburan, Cebu. Primary aim is to promote sustainable agriculture, empower local farmers, boost livelihood, community development and preserve local culture and environment. The Tuburan Coffee Farm Association works with smallholder farmers to cultivate high-quality coffee, primarily the Robusta variety, which thrives in Tuburan’s climate and soil. The association provides technical support, training and access to modern farming equipment to improve farming practices.
Additionally, TCFA focuses on building a cooperative model where farmers collectively manage resources and share the benefits of increased productivity and access to larger markets. The project emphasizes creating a sustainable value chain that includes production, processing and marketing.

Presentation of the program

● Assisting with planting, weeding, and maintaining coffee plants
● Supporting post-harvest activities, such as sorting, drying and packaging coffee beans
● Promoting the Tuburan Coffee brand through social media and other marketing platforms.
● Assisting in organizing events such as trade fairs and exhibitions to showcase Tuburan coffee.

About the location

Tuburan Coffee Farm is located in Barangay Kabangkalan, Tuburan, Cebu, nestled in the lush highlands of northwestern Cebu Island. It spans part of a 3,000-hectare coffee-growing area that stretches across 29 barangays, supporting over 2,000 smallholder farmers.
The farm is part of a community-driven initiative led by the Tuburan Coffee Farmers Association (TCFA), which promotes sustainable agriculture and local livelihood. Visitors can enjoy agro-tourism experiences like guided farm tours, coffee tasting, and scenic views of Atabay Peak and surrounding landscapes.
