About the local hosting organization
The volunteers will be placed in elementary schools (students age 6 ( 12 years old).There are various aims of this project such as, to assist local staffs and amp; motivating the local students to make effort inlife and motivated them in having passion in life; to stimulate intercultural learning; to prepare the students of elementary school (age 6 ( 12 yo) for the higher level of education. The activities that wil be done among others, preparing the students for the higher level of education; teaching and learning activities; doing sports, art and music activities; and developing self-interest of the students
Presentation of the program
Supervising the children during school hours; Assisting local teachers in conducting the class; Organizing class activities together with local teachers; Introduction of Basic English to the children through interactive learning; Introduction volunteers culture through games, music, dance, or else.
About the accommodation
The accommodation and food will be provided by a local host family or at dormitory(to be confirmed). The volunteer may have own or sharing room and the other facilities with other host family members. Facilities are simple and Indonesian style (no hot water, no washing machine).
About the location
The location will be spreads in Indonesia. The volunteers will move to others project in every 1 or 2 months.
Extra information
a. What should bring: UO Light clothes, not too revealing. These are not appropriate while working in the project that you will be visiting. Forthose who are going for the project, shirt and trousers are a must. Shoulders should be covered all the times. Shorts that are cut at the knee are acceptable during free time but not in schools. You also should wearing shs during working. Wearing sandals/slippers are considered impolite in the classroom.UO Toiletries, necessary medicines etcb.
