About the local hosting organization

The school is housed in a beautiful Victorian building, it is a picturesque and peaceful setting in which to study. Since it was founded in 1968, the school has run high quality English courses for thousands of students. The School is accredited by the British Council for teaching English in the UK and is a member of English UK, Young Learners English UK and Sussex Safeguarding.
Brighton is the second largest student city after London. It's an hour away from London by train. The school has a large centre where students can get together to cook, relax and watch movies.

Presentation of the program

For the English + Art or English + Drama program, there are 27 classes (22 hours) per week.
You will have in this program 21 lessons of English + 6 lessons of the extra subject.
Course price for 2 weeks: £470
The purchase of course books is compulsory and costs £30 for each level/class.

About the accommodation

Students are accommodated with a host family.
All the hosts live within a 25 minute WALK from school, (for Summer students on Intensive courses, it will be a 15 to 20 minute bus journey when at ELC)
The students are welcomed and treated as part of the family during their stay.
Price for two weeks in a host family with bed & breakfast option : £188.

The school is located in a suburb of Brighton & Hove. There is great transport links via both bus and train. It is close to London; just an hour on the train. The school is situated on the edge of the beautiful South Downs National Park. Brighton is a very popular location and is one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the UK for students.
