About the local hosting organization
The school is housed in a beautiful Victorian building, it is a picturesque and peaceful setting in which to study. Since it was founded in 1968, the school has run high quality English courses for thousands of students. The School is accredited by the British Council for teaching English in the UK and is a member of English UK, Young Learners English UK and Sussex Safeguarding.
Brighton is the second largest student city after London. It's an hour away from London by train. The school has a large centre where students can get together to cook, relax and watch movies.
Presentation of the program
A private lesson lasts 45 minutes.
The price for 1 to 10 lessons per week is £45 per lesson.
The price for 11 to 40 lessons per week is £40 per lesson.
About the accommodation
Students are accommodated with a host family.
All the hosts live within a 25 minute WALK from school, (for Summer students on Intensive courses, it will be a 15 to 20 minute bus journey when at ELC)
The students are welcomed and treated as part of the family during their stay.
4 choices of meals are possible: bed & breakfast, half board lunch, half board dinner, full board

About the location
The school is located in a suburb of Brighton & Hove. There is great transport links via both bus and train. It is close to London; just an hour on the train. The school is situated on the edge of the beautiful South Downs National Park. Brighton is a very popular location and is one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the UK for students.
About the leisure
The school offers an extensive social programme:
Activities and visits in the local area and trips to cities such as London, Cambridge, Oxford and Salisbury.
A lots of free activities are included such as quizzes, film nights, arts and crafts and sports.
The programme encourages full integration as staff, including the teachers, get involved in the activities.

A transfer between the airport and the school is possible depending on where you arrive.
