Presentation of the program
A social project of 4 months in Palermo, Sicily for 120 days. CISS- Cooperazione Internazionale Sud Sud is a NGO based in Palermo and active in the global south since 1985. CISS works in different areas of the world: from Latin America to North Africa, from Sub-Saharan Africa to the Middle East, from the Balkans to Italy with the aim of protecting human rights and fundamental freedom. Their projects desire are triggering real, lasting and human change, based on the needs of the communities. Locally, their projects have different purposes, but are particularly focused on supporting women, migrants and local communities, protecting childhood and reducing school drop out rates, guaranteeing accessibility to services and encouraging youth participation. The volunteers recruited for this project will help managing the different activities implemented by CISS, according to their skills and capabilities.
