Presentation of the program
Are you looking for an opportunity to volunteer through the European Solidarity Corps? Join us in Snagov, Romania, and become part of a dedicated team working to create positive change in the local community.
As part of this project, volunteers will:
- Organise and implement non-formal activities at the A4ACTION Afterschool program such as: outdoor activities, English lessons, arts & crafts, personal development etc.;
- Organize and implement workshops and activities in local schools in Snagov commune, such as: cultural events, civic involvement workshops, green practices and environmental education, digital skills development etc.
- Create promotional videos to raise awareness about the ESC program
- Contribute to the development of the A4ACTION Online Youth Center
About the accommodation
Transport cost reimbursement (to come to Romania and to go back to their countries of residence) according to the band distance and the ESC guideline; Pocket and food money according to the ESC guidelines; Accommodation shared with the other volunteers; Medical insurance during the full volunteering period assured by Henner Insurance Plan.
About the leisure
The volunteers will participate in short workshops and training sessions covering various topics, such as non-formal education, working with kids, facilitation, etc., to support the effective execution of their activities. All activities will employ non-formal education methods. Additionally, volunteers will participate in On Arrival Training and Mid Term Evaluation hosted by the National Agency in Romania.
Requirements
The Participant profile: Age: 18 - 30 years
To have finished secondary school or equivalent finished;
To be unemployed at the time of selection;
Responsible person;
Communicative, friendly and with a positive attitude;
Interested in the topic of the project;
Able to prepare and lead an activity;
Contribute to the development of the A4ACTION Youth Centre;
National of any EU state;
Good knowledge of English;
Motivated persons, who're ready to be involved in the local community.

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
