Presentation of the program
Join Our Volunteer Team to improve a monumental WWII era complex heritage into a new place to come together. We’re looking for 6 enthusiastic volunteers to help bring new life to the place by helping out on various things, such with renovating an unique WWII bunker that looks like a farmstead. You’ll take part in hands-on restoration work that can vary as: Painting shutters Removing old paint from windows Assisting with pipe and infrastructure repairs, or carpentry. No prior experience needed — just energy, teamwork, and a willingness to get your hands dirty! This is your chance to preserve a piece of history while learning practical renovation skills in a friendly, motivated team. When: [Early of May until 1st of July] Where: [Eindhoven, Netherlands] Interested? Sign up now and help us make history shine again!
About the accommodation
The accommodation is at BioArt Village, a beautiful location surrounded by a forest inside the city of Eindhoven. The place is off-grid, fulfilling basic needs, and participants must approach this with a non-wasteful mindset. Common areas include the living room, kitchen, shower and toilets. In addition to pocket money, you also receive food money, so basic cooking skills are necessary.
About the leisure
No specific experience is needed—just a love of living in an offgrid, forest environment, a willingness to work physically, and an open mindset. You’ll gain practical experience and learn about preparing old buildings for renovation, and contribute to a meaningful project. Keep in mind that it can be cold in the Netherlands.
Requirements
The Participant profile: We’re especially looking for volunteers who are curious about practical work, and can thrive in a team while also being self-reliant, resilience, motivation, and a positive attitude. We warmly welcome applicants with fewer opportunities, and we ask that all participants are in good mental and physical health, and are able to commit to a stay of at least 15 days. Because you will be living in a dormitory setting, keeping the place (for example kitchen and living area) clean together. Let’s create a future rooted in nature—growing it together, one project at a time

The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
What do we provide ?
Before applying for this volunteering project, you need to enroll yourself at European Solidarity Corps Platform (https://europa.eu/youth/solidarity_en) and specify your European Solidarity Corps Participant Number (PRN).
