Presentation of the program

Come and discover Toulouse, the Ville Rose, from a different angle! In partnership with the association Un Œil Sur Ma Ville*, you will restore part of the collective memory of a district of the city. For two weeks, you will meet the inhabitants with the aim of collecting local memory: finding old documents, collecting their words and creating audio, visual, pictorial content... You will be able to give free rein to your creativity to create content from your finds. During the heritage and matrimony days, you will be asked to present your finds to the local inhabitants. *Un Œil Sur Ma Ville is a Toulouse-based NGO that aims to enable everyone to better understand the history of their city. Through exhibition tours in the heart of the city, co-created using residents' memories, the NGO strives to create social connections between all.

About the accommodation

You will sleep in individual tents (provided by Concordia) with access to sanitary facilities, showers, and a kitchen. Everyone will take turns preparing meals and managing the living space (organizing schedules, cleaning, shopping, etc.). Tasks will be shared collectively, and meals will be prepared together (mainly vegetarian). A budget will be allocated to the team leaders, and you will participate in grocery shopping, prioritizing healthy and locally sourced products. For your comfort, a washing machine will be available on site, and there will be access to Wi-Fi.

Extra information

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
What do we provide ?
