Presentation of the program
“Farfalle nella testa” is a cooperative society in Bordano (Friuli Venezia Giulia) that deals with communication of science and public engagement with science. The volunteers will provide support the cooperative and the local community in green maintenance and cleaning the lake shores in Ecomuseo Val del Lago. The tasks also include cooking meals, cleaning the shared spaces and promoting the ESC programme with photos and videos.
The volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in sports and creative workshops such as: rafting, bike ride, flight approach tutorial, ceramic and craft, drum circle, yoga etc.
About the accommodation
- Pocket money: 23€ per day (the traveling expenses, visa and insurance costs are NOT included).
- Accommodation: the volunteers will live in 2 independent houses with double o
triple rooms, bathrooms, a common kitchen, and a garden, (there is a possibility of two people sharing a double bed).
- Food: the volunteers will cook through working shifts.
About the leisure
The chosen people will get training on all required tasks. The tasks are practical and their impact will affect the improvement of the place. The basic information will be discussed together during training times, upon arrival, and during the month.
Requirements
The Participant profile: The profile of an ideal volunteer is a person who is available for the entire 2 months of activities and has strong adaptability. We are looking for a person who is willing to get their hands dirty and provide ideas to get the place better.
