Presentation of the program
EXPERYMENT Science Centre is a modern scientific and educational playground for amateur explorers and the „learning through fun” philosophy followers of all ages.
It is an educational institution popularizing science in the form of interactive installations and shows. Its goal is to combine science and fun, and to conduct activities that promote science.
ESC volunteers are joining the educational projects team of the Centre. Their task is to support the educational activities in the field of science with actions and ideas.
About the accommodation
The volunteer will receive pocket money, a food allowance, and reimbursement for local transportation in Gdynia to go to work. Volunteer will share a room with 2-3 other volunteers in a rented flat.
About the leisure
Volunteer is obliged to participate in training provided by National Agency (On-arrival training and Mid-term training) as well as trainings run and and organized by supporting organization.
Requirements
The Participant profile: As a volunteer you will be working mainly in the Event Department. You will organize and implement many different events that the centre arrange each year (like Resercher's Night, Science com, Open'er Festiwal and others) Also, you can create and execute various workshops for children and adults . You'll have the opportunity to use your ideas to develop these activities. Additionally, you'll be able to participate and organize science shows, write science news on our social media, as well as attend and support the series of lectures organized by the centre.

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
