Presentation of the program
Join Pistes-Solidaires as a Green Officer Volunteer and take part in a Living Lab where sustainability, experimentation, and collective action come together. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to turn green ideas into real action. You will help care for our garden and aquaponics greenhouse, support activities in and around the Living Lab, and contribute to the green transition of the organization. This includes improving daily practices, reducing waste, encouraging eco-friendly habits, and thinking about greener mobility and resource use. Based in Pau, at the foot of the Pyrenees, Pistes-Solidaires offers a dynamic environment where local action meets European values. We are looking for someone motivated, curious, open-minded, and ready to work both outdoors and indoors, in teamwork and with initiative.
About the accommodation
The volunteer will live in shared flat and will have a private room. The volunteer will receive a monthly allowance for food and local transport + pocket money
About the leisure
The volunteers will participate in an on-arrival and a midterm training organised by the National Agency. The costs are covered.
Requirements
The Participant profile: Are you between 18 and 30 years old, motivated by sustainability, and ready to turn green ideas into real action? This opportunity is for someone curious, hands-on, and excited to take part in a Living Lab where gardening, experimentation, and environmental change come together in a concrete and meaningful way.
The ideal volunteer likes being active, working with others, and moving between outdoor tasks and team-based reflection. They should enjoy taking care of plants and growing systems, helping with workshops and activities around the garden, and spotting practical ways to make Pistes-Solidaires greener in every corner of daily life — from transport choices to everyday habits and resource use.
Good knowledge of English is a plus. A proactive attitude, team spirit, and a desire to test, improve, and share sustainable practices will make all the difference. Please send your CV and motivation letter in English or French. Only complete applications will be considered.
