Presentation of the program
Here, at the non-profit kindergarten "Zilvitis" we have developed a unique educational model. We respect and value the individual differences of every child and strive to provide equal opportunities for every child to develop their unique personality. "Zilvitis" is open to all children, who have different interests and abilities and come from a variety of socioeconomic, religious, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. At our kindergarten, the main activities are educational games, STEAM activities, drama, and learning through experience. TASKS FOR INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERS: Help teachers organize various educational activities for children from 1.5 to 7 years old. Take part in organizing STEAM preschool education for children; Organize educational games for children and play with them; Organize various educational activities for children in other EU languages; Organize IT education for preschoolers; Help in the creation of educational spaces and the generation of creative ideas.
About the accommodation
- You will receive a private room in a shared flat with other international volunteers,
- A public transport card,
- Monthly food and pocket money (~250 euros).

About the leisure
- Volunteering group meetings once a month;
- Meeting with a mentor once a month;
- On-arrival and mid-term training;

- Organization of info/promo solidarity events.

The Participant profile: You are an open-minded, patient, motivated individual, willing to work with young children. You can take on new challenges and are eager to learn new things. You are willing to motivate the young and guide them on their educational journey.

The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment.
