About the local hosting organization

SEGA is a national platform of youth organizations working on youth employment, participation, social inclusion, advancing youth work, and digitalization

Presentation of the program

This volunteering activity implemented by Coalition SEGA is in duration of 59 activity days. The activity will be actively addressing the issue of inclusion and diversity as a societal challenge The volunteers will be actively involved in daily work in the office of the organization SEGA, working on different tasks, local activities and projects with young people in Prilep - Macedonia. The project activities will be actively addressing the issue of inclusion and diversity as a societal challenge. Furthermore, activities implemented will be related to digital transition aiming to boost digital skills, foster digital literacy, promote the use of virtual and digital components such as information, communication and technology tools in all activities. Detailed plan of the activities and dynamics will be developed together with volunteers and organization team.

About the accommodation

The volunteers will be accommodated in an apartment in Prilep, Macedonia, shared rooms. The costs for rent of the apartment, bills for electricity and water will be covered by the organizer Coalition SEGA Each month the volunteers will receive allowances on the Macedonian bank account for food and pocket money. The travel costs will be covered by Coalition SEGA within the amount of programme budget for Travel costs. It is planned all volunteers to travel green. SEGA team will assist selected volunteers to organize their green travel in a best way.

About the leisure

National Agency organizes one on-arrival and mid-term training. Also, the volunteers will have the opportunity to visit local training and workshops organized by Coalition SEGA.

Requirements

The Participant profile: The call is open for one volunteer with fewer opportunities from EU countries with distance band of 500-1999 km to Prilep, N.Macedonia (according to distance band calculator). The candidates need to be agreed to travel green (train, bus or carpooling). Most important is that the young person is eager to become volunteer, is active, enthusiastic, willing to work in a team, responsible, open-minded and willing to discover other cultures.

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
