Presentation of the program

Step into the world of Actio Catholica Patria, a youth organization that has been igniting passions since 1991 in Lithuania. With a mission to nurture resilient, independent individuals, we believe in fostering a sense of belonging and purpose within our community. At the heart of our mission is the Open Youth Centre "Vartai," where young people aged 14-29 can embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth, regardless of their background. "Vartai" is a space free from violence, bullying, and negativity, where creativity knows no bounds. Picture yourself immersed in different activities, from board games to outdoor adventures, and unleash your inner artist in our various workshops. With unwavering support and guidance, "Vartai" is a place to empower the young to not only succeed as an individual but also flourish as an integral members of society.

About the accommodation

You will receive a private room in a shared flat with other international volunteers, a public transport card, monthly food and pocket money (~250 eu). *If needed, we can provide support and provide food products. *PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR CV AND MOTIVATIONAL LETTER IN ENGLISH*

About the leisure

- Volunteering group meetings once a month; - Meeting with a mentor once a month; - On-arrival and mid-term training; - Online language learning; - Participating in public solidarity events; - Organization of info/promo solidarity events.

Harness the power of creativity and reflection as working in this dynamic team. Dive deep into the world of youth, understanding their unique perspectives and backgrounds. Take up a volunteering role where you will not only participate in the organization of open evenings but also craft and execute engaging activities.

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
