Presentation of the program
Are you eager to gain valuable experience in education or international mobility for students? We are looking for 2 volunteers to join us from September 2026 to July 2027. Throughout these 10 months, you will have the chance to develop personal projects related to non-formal education, promoting Europe and international mobility, social and language interactions, and communication. There are also communication projects, such as the web radio, social media, and more! This experience will help you learn and grow independently while boosting your self-confidence. Each year, the activities are unique, shaped by the projects developed by our volunteers. During weekends and school holidays, you will be hosted by IDC while connecting with volunteers from other countries. You can also receive training and support for your projects!
About the accommodation
Volunteers will stay in the boarding facility at the high school, where they will take their meals, from monday to Friday (the other days they will be in Carcassonne). You will have weekends off (from Friday afternoon), and during school holidays, you could be supported IDC to work on your personal projects, or go to the National Agency seminars. Like this you get to socialize with other fellow volunteers as well. All transportation for activities will be covered, and if you take a vacation, you will receive a meal budget of 7 euros per day. Castelnaudary is located 5 km from the school.
About the leisure
You will have the chance to develop key skills, including: Educational Skills: Learn different professional practices and approaches in formal and non-formal education, particularly in the social sectors (services à la personne), as well as managing students, which can be integrated into your future career. Communication Skills: Enhance your written and oral communication skills using various resources (including digital tools) before, during, and after your mobility experience and the implementation of educational activities. French Language: Improve your oral and written French expression
Requirements
The Participant profile: We are seeking a motivated young person ready to embrace an enriching intercultural experience! Ideal candidates should be sociable, responsible, and willing to step out of their comfort zones (especially in public speaking in another language). You should be charismatic, flexible, organised, creative, and communicative. A strong interest in working with young people/students and/or in international mobility is essential. Previous experience with students or youngsters and basic French knowledge are advantageous!
