Presentation of the program
We are a volunteer service organisation, and ESC volunteers can bring new and fresh ideas to another generation of volunteers, and they can help us with our Kiwanis Academy, to assist with the trainings, training videos, the support to clubs and districts and to enhance the operations. Kiwanis Europe is looking for 2 long term volunteers (between 18 and 30 y.o.) for the duration of 1 year. We have place to host 2 European volunteers, starting in the beginning of September 2026, in our European Office in Ghent, Belgium. Our local clubs do fundraising activities for children projects, but we don’t work directly with kids. At the European office, we do European trainings and we support our volunteer leaders.
About the accommodation
2 Volunteers are hosted together in an apartment with an individual room, but shared kitchen, bathroom, living room. Food money (330€/m), pocket money (6€/d), good internet connection is provided. We book and pay the flights for the volunteers. Please read carefully the call - website for all details: https://www.volunteering.kiwanis.eu Take also a look to the section with pictures in the website to get a good view.
About the leisure
We provide induction, on the spot training, & the volunteers are also part of our team that organizes European trainings and we create also training videos ("Kiwanis TV"). Please read carefully the website for all details: https://www.volunteering.kiwanis.eu

Extra information
The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
What do we provide ?
Before applying for this volunteering project, you need to enroll yourself at European Solidarity Corps Platform (https://europa.eu/youth/solidarity_en) and specify your European Solidarity Corps Participant Number (PRN).
This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label.
Contact the ESC coordinator at +32 2 888 67 13 to get more informations.
