Are you an active, kind, and creative individual with a passion for inclusive education and a deep affection for young children? Do you believe that every child, regardless of their abilities, deserves a safe, fun, and tailor-made learning environment where they can truly thrive? If your heart beats for creating such a space, we invite you to "Level Up Your Impact!" by joining our dedicated team as a volunteer at the Kwidzyn Integrational Kindergarten, as part of the European Solidarity Corps program! Our Kindergarten functions as a unique and vibrant caring, educational, and instructive center in Kwidzyn. It's a truly special place where both healthy children and those with disabilities learn, play, and grow together in harmony. We are deeply committed to providing every child with the opportunity to have fun and learn in a safe, friendly place where every activity is meticulously tailored for their individual needs and developmental stage.

About the leisure

Before coming to Poland, volunteers have to be prepared for the project by the supporting organization from the volunteer's country. Volunteers participate in the training offered by the Polish National Agency: on-arrival training and mid-term, and Akwedukt's Association inner programme: introduction training, methods of working with kids, monthly meetings and evaluation sessions, skill-oriented meetings, youthpass certification trainings, and any other preparation and trainings needed inside the Hosting Organisations.

The Participant profile: About Kwidzyn Integrational Kindergarten Our Kindergarten functions as a unique and vibrant caring, educational, and instructive center in Kwidzyn. It's a truly special place where both healthy children and those with disabilities learn, play, and grow together in harmony. We are deeply committed to providing every child with the opportunity to have fun and learn in a safe, friendly place where every activity is meticulously tailored for their individual needs and developmental stage. The kindergarten comprises 5 diverse groups, caring for children aged from 2 to 6 years old. We cherish the belief that an inclusive environment nurtures empathy, understanding, and holistic development for all. Your Mission: Nurturing Growth in an Inclusive Environment As an ESC volunteer, you will be an invaluable member of our team, playing a vital role in the daily life of our kindergarten and directly contributing to an inclusive and supportive atmosphere. Your presence will help foster a positive impact and enhance the children's learning experience. This is more than just a volunteer placement; it's an opportunity to reside in a foreign country, immerse yourself in a new culture, and actively contribute to an inclusive local community. Supported by the European Solidarity Corps fund, your essential needs—including food, lodging, travel expenses, pocket money, insurance, and mentorship—will be fully covered. Your involvement will be diverse and impactful, encompassing tasks such as: Active Participation in Daily Work: You will be fully integrated into the daily rhythm of the kindergarten, actively participating in and helping with various tasks. This includes preparing engaging activities and games tailored for children's learning and enjoyment. Supporting Inclusive Play and Learning: A key part of your role will be helping to involve children with autism spectrum into daily life activities, fostering an environment where all children feel included and can participate fully. Assisting with Daily Routines and Care: You will support during meal times, assisting with setting and clearing tables, and helping children with food. Your assistance will also extend to daily hygiene routines, accompanying and supervising children during outdoor walks, and ensuring their safety and well-being during outings to public places like cinemas, museums, or theatres. Preparing for Outdoor Adventures: You'll help children get dressed and ready for exciting outside activities, ensuring they are comfortable and safe. Leading Creative and Educational Activities: You will have the opportunity to lead various games and activities for children, organize music classes, and engage in free play. We encourage you to propose, plan, and deliver your own educational and fun activities, bringing your unique creativity to the classroom. Fostering Language Development: You will attend and conduct classes in English, providing children with exposure to a foreign language in an interactive and engaging way. Specialized Support: You will assist in working with children with disabilities, providing tailored support and care to meet their specific needs. Creating an Inviting Atmosphere: Help us decorate the school for various programs and special events, making the environment even more stimulating and joyful for the children. Promoting European Solidarity Corps: You will have opportunities to take part in ESC promoting projects, workshops, and presentations, sharing your experience and inspiring others. Note: The children in the Kindergarten, aged 2-6, barely speak Polish, and their English is also not developed. This provides a unique opportunity to engage through play, creativity, and universal forms of communication!
