Presentation of the program

The long-term ESC volunteer in the Together for Sweden project at Fryshuset will be actively involved in all project activities, supporting young people through educational, social, and community-based initiatives. The volunteer will assist with communication and visibility on social media, contribute to storytelling workshops, and support various administrative tasks connected to the project. They will also become part of the wider community of ESC volunteers at Fryshuset, participating in shared activities, trainings, and intercultural exchanges. In addition, the volunteer will help promote EU opportunities for young people by taking part in info points, presentations, workshops, and public events aimed at increasing youth engagement and participation.

About the accommodation

Participation in the project is fully covered by the European Solidarity Corps programme. Volunteers receive 4500 SEK per month as pocket and food money, as well as an SL public transport travel card. A private room in a shared accommodation is provided for participants coming from outside the city of activity. In case the participant already lives in Stockholm, financial compensation for accommodation is provided instead.

Requirements

The Participant profile: We are looking for a motivated and open-minded young person who is passionate about creating an inclusive and peaceful society. The ideal volunteer is interested in bringing together youth from different faiths, backgrounds, and worldviews to combat racism, prevent polarization, and promote mutual understanding through school workshops and educational events. We welcome someone who is eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute to Fryshuset’s philosophy of empowering young people to change the world through their passions.
Deadline: 07/06/2026 12:00

Extra information

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
