Presentation of the program
The project will take place in the municipality of Lousame (province of A Coruña) from July 2026 to April 2027 (10 months). Lousame is a rural municipality with an area of 93 km² and 3,200 inhabitants. Throughout the year, the organization runs various cultural activities (summer camps, etc.), social activities (activities at the Day Center, activities with senior citizens, etc.), and sports activities (hiking trips, etc.). The two volunteers are expected to collaborate on these activities, providing personalized support to the different activity groups. Their work will primarily focus on youth and social services, although they will also volunteer in cultural, sports, and other areas. We believe that these volunteer activities offer an excellent learning experience in the field of non-formal education, where participating young people improve or acquire skills for their personal, educational, and professional development
About the accommodation
The accommodation of the two volunteers will be in a house or in an apartment shared by the two volunteers near the place of activities. The two volunteers will be given an amount of money for support. During the proyect, an employee of the town hall will accompany the volunteers to the transfer from the accommodation to the place of the activities and once finished they will be transferred to the place of accommodation. A bicycle will also provide to each volunteer to travel to the activities.
About the leisure
Volunteer tasks will be coordinated and supervised by the coordinator. There will be direct communication between then and they will have periodic meetings. Participating volunteers will be provided with linguistic training through the online platform created for this purpose (Erasmus+ OLS) and will be provided with support to resolve any questions they may have.
Requirements
The Participant profile: Young and dynamic people willing to participate in sociocultural projects. We will give priority to them being participatory, dynamic, open and communicative people. It will also take into account the adaptability to live in a rural environment, taking into account the characteristics of the area where the activities will be developed, as well as their ability to work in teams and in group
