The "Asociación Recreativa Cultural Os Tilos" was born in the district "Os Tilos", in the City Council of Teo, A Coruña. It is a meeting point for the residents of the urbanization, and closers areas where they can participate in the scheduled activities, projects and family conciliation activities for all the age groups, we also advise and inform about council services and local organisations. Within its facilities we can find three games rooms, a library, a computer room, and several multipurpose rooms. They develop different activities for children (games room, crafts, languages, paintings, theatre, dance, music, etc.), youth(urban camps activities, different sports, languages, etc.) and adults (gymnastics, memory workshops, crafts, videoforum, libroforum, etc.) in addition to other open activities (conviviality, parties, etc.) or popular celebrations, (Samaín-Magosto, Christmas, carnival ...) La Asociación Recreativa Cultural Os Tilos nació en el distrito "Os Tilos", en el Ayuntamiento de Teo, A Coruña. Es un lugar de encuentro para los vecinos de la urbanización, y zonas más cercanas donde pueden participar de las actividades programadas, proyectos y actividades de conciliación familiar para todas las edades, también orientamos e informamos sobre distintos servicios municipales y entidades locales. Dentro de nuestras instalaciones podemos encontrar tres salas de juegos, una biblioteca, una sala de informática y varias salas polivalentes. Desarrollarmos diferentes actividades para niños (sala de juegos, manualidades, idiomas, pintura, teatro, baile, música...), jóvenes (campamentos urbanos actividades, diferentes deportes, idiomas, etc.) y adultos (gimnasia, talleres de memoria, manualidades, videoforum, libroforum, etc.) además de otras actividades abiertas (convivencia, fiestas, etc.) o celebraciones populares, (Samaín-Magosto, Navidad, carnaval ...)

The volunteer will be integrated in the activities carried out in the Asociación Recreativa Cultural Los Tilos in Los Tilos, Teo, for children, teenagers, youth and elderly of the district. The purpose for our volunteers is to give young people in our organisation and in the region, a better European awareness. We wish to widen young people acceptance and understanding of different cultures. With a volunteer present it helps spreading the knowledge about European Solidarity Corps Program and its various actions. The volunteer will live in a flat, sharing it with other volunteers, in a single or double room. Furthermore the flat provides all items necessary for living: a washing machine, heater, blankets, iron, dishes, etc. The organisation will cover the expenses of the flat (rent, supplies,…) The volunteer will receive a monthly allowance and pocket money (at the beginning of each month) to manage their meals. Local transport will be provided.

The volunteer will participate in the same activities as the rest of the local volunteers and staff members, and will participate in the same training activities. The volunteer also will participate in the ESC learning process, so he/she will attend to the pre-departure training and on-arrival training. The partcipant will have Spanish lessons according to his/her level and also he/she will be registered in the EU Academy platform to use Online Linguistic Support tool.

The Participant profile: We are looking for young volunteers with interest and motivation in cultural activities and leasure time with children and teenagers. We are looking for youngsters with capabilities of comunication, social skills, enthusiasts, creatives, with initiative and values and ideals about solidarity and europena identity. We value highly the desire and the motivation to participate in this experience.
