About the local hosting organization
The Maison de l’Europe de Tours-Centre Val de Loire is a non political organisation created in 1987 which aim is to inform citizens about EU actions and European cultures. It is supported by various partners such as the European Commission, the Regional council, Tours city, etc. The Maison de l’Europe de Tours is one of the 38 Maisons de l’Europe of France and is part of the Fédération française des Maisons de l’Europe (FFME) and also part of the Maisons de l’Europe du Grand Ouest et de Centre network. We reach many type of public through our events (european coffees, debates, screen projections, Europe Day, exhibits on european subjects, etc). In our premises, we offer to the public a center of information and documentation as well as exhibits and other pedagogical tools we lend or rent.
Moreover, we go in schools, vocationnal training institutions and associations to talk about chosen european subjects.
Often, we inform youngsters about european mobility programs of the EU through presentations and games (giant puzzle, treasure hunt about european cultures and Histories, quiz). We also organize formation like CV and motivation letter workshops.
We also helps projects holders (youngster groups, NGOs, SMEs, etc…) to find relevant european programs to fund and implement their projects.

You will also be involved in different projects with our partner organizations here in Tours. The mission will start in September in our old place, but we will move to a new location in city center and with other organizations in Automne.
