About the local hosting organization

La Fédération Régionale Familles Rurales des Pays de la Loire (FRFRPDL) est un organisme non-gouvernemental créé en 1982. La FRFRPDL est officiellement reconnue en tant qu’organisme Jeunesse / Education populaire, centre d'EFP pour adultes dans le domaine de l'animation socio-culturelle, organisation de défense des consommateurs et organisation accréditée accueil/envoi/coordination Service Volontaire Européen. L’ambition de la Fédération Régionale Familles Rurales des Pays de la Loire est de promouvoir, de soutenir et d’améliorer la qualité de vie des familles issues des territoires ruraux. Pour y parvenir, Familles Rurales met en œuvre un grand nombre d’actions de proximité en faveur de la famille et propose des activités d’accompagnement dans les champs de la vie associative, du développement local et de la formation. Les missions de la Fédération régionale PDL : - Coordonner et soutenir l’action des fédérations départementales - Coordonner ou conduire des projets d’ampleur régionale - Développer et coordonner les actions de formation - Développer la coopération européenne - Promouvoir les intérêts des familles, l’action familiale et la vie associative à l’échelon régional - Agir en partenariat ou en concertation avec le Conseil Régional et les services de l’Etat - Informer, accompagner et sensibiliser sur les thématiques européennes Aujourd’hui, le mouvement Familles Rurales en région Pays de la Loire représente près de 45 000 familles adhérentes, 500 associations, 7 000 salariés and plus de 10 000 bénévoles. La fédération régionale est également partenaire du Service Départemental Jeunesse Engagement Sport (SDJES) 49 dans le cadre du « Relais Europe Jeunesse du Maine-et-Loire ». À ce titre, elle est un lieu d’information et d’accompagnement des jeunes et des structures jeunesse du Maine-et-Loire dans leur projet de mobilité européenne, en particulier sur le Corps européen de solidarité.

Presentation of the program

Familles Rurales Pays de la Loire, located in Angers (France), is recruiting a European a volunteer from September 2026 to May 2027. He/she will Promote the European Solidarity Corps programme by participating in communication events creating communication material, etc. Support young people searching for a ESC volunteering Create and co-animate activities for discovering the European Union and his/her own country Create and run fun activities to encourage people with a low level of English to dare to speak in English The volunteer will be in contact with many different profiles (children, teenagers, adults in professional trainings, youth workers, etc.) For all his/her activities, the volunteer will be supported by Familles Rurales employees, in particular the European projects manager. About the accommodation

Travel expenses and accommodation will be covered. The volunteer will live in a youth worker residence in the city centre of Angers, 15 minutes away in tram from our office. He/She will be in a single room with bathroom and toilet and have free access to a shared kitchen and to a cheap restaurant (6 € for a full dinner). The volunteer will receive a food allowance of 200 € /month and pocket money (8 € per day). He/she will also get public transport cards (tram and buses) for all his/her travels in Angers Other European volunteers will be living with him/her in the residence.

About the leisure

The volunteer will participate in a week seminar at the beginning of his/her volunteering (on arrival training) with other ESC volunteers in France. He/she will have a second seminar in the middle of the project. According to volunteer’ needs, internal trainings will be organised (video editing, unformal education, etc.).

Requirements

The Participant profile: We are looking for a volunteer who is: open-minded, curious to discover a new culture and happy to speak about his/her own countries respectful of others and are willing to make an effort to adapt to different and new situations and activities able to communicate and to involve others in a project or event motivated to work with young people motivated to work in team Understanding and speaking French would be a plus.

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment.
