Presentation of the program

We are looking for one person to our project in the Autism Center in Krakow. The volunteer's tasks will be to support students from the centre in their everyday activities: learning languages, gardening, sport activities, therapy, ceramics, art and music, computers and other. Volunteer will be supported always by the coordinator from the hosting organisation. Volunteer work 6 hour per day in the Autism Centre and additionaly in the activities offered by the IB Polska. Volunteer has 2 additional free days per full month. We contact only people who fulfil the form for the volunteer which you will find below. The next step is always online meeting with candidate.

About the accommodation

Volunteers are accomodated in flats rented by IB Polska for this purpose. Rooms are usualy shared by 2 people. Kitchen and bathroom are common space. Volunteer are getting food allowance - about 80 € per month and pocket money which is 180€ per month. We provide also tickets for the public transport in Krakow. Volunteers are insured additionaly in Henner and the level of insurance depends on the country of origin and individual situation. For the EU citizens the European Health Insurance Card is must have.

About the leisure

There should be training for the volunteer before departure organised by the sending organisation. IB Polska tries to organise on-line meeting with all accepted volunteers before the start of the project. There are always meetings with new volunteers after arrival to Krakow organized by Ib Polska. And then introduction in the hosting organisations during the meeting with the hosting coordinator. There are also 2 meetings organised by the National Agency: on-arrival training and mid-term evaluation.

Requirements

The Participant profile: We are looking for an open-minded young people ready to learn new things and to work in the multicultiral community, no matter what is the nationality of the other participants. Participants age: 18-30 years. Participants have to be ready to work in the hosting organisation 6 hours per day and additionaly participate in the activities provided by the Coordinating Organisation foundation IB Polska. The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment.
