About the local hosting organization
Our school, the "Freie Montessorischule Stams" is based in an association and hosts a private school for children between 6 and 16 years. It is situated in the centre of the community Stams. Students, no matter what their age, are given the freedom to use their time as they wish, and the responsibility for designing their path to adulthood. Students from "Primaria" through "Sekundaria" age explore the world freely at their own pace and in their own unique ways. The children can do anything which develops their learning, because children learn everything they need for their future life at this school. They are usually at the school from 7:45 until 12:45 and use this time to learn.
Presentation of the program
Our nursing home “Soziales Kompetenz-zentrum Rum” (SOKO Rum) takes care of seniors and dependent persons based on short- and long-termcare.
For this purpose, the town of Rum has created our special housing complex that consists of 69 single rooms and 13 barrier-free rooms for the elderly.
We try to support people during their daily routines, to make space for motivation and personal achievements and to create a respectful and homey atmosphere for this target group.
