About the local hosting organization

B-Live empowers youth through social inclusion, environmental education, and creative projects, promoting active participation and leadership in communities.
B-Live Spain is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth, promoting social inclusion, and fostering environmental awareness. Based in Murcia, Spain, B-Live focuses on creating opportunities for young people, particularly those from vulnerable backgrounds, to actively participate in their communities. Through educational programs, creative projects, and international collaborations, the organization aims to equip young people with the skills needed to become leaders of social and environmental change. B-Live’s initiatives emphasize sustainability, inclusion, and lifelong learning, with a strong commitment to the values of solidarity and equality across Europe.

Presentation of the program

El “Magazzino Culturale Ex Oleificio” es una antigua almazara renovada que funciona como centro cultural multifuncional en Milena. Es un espacio dedicado a la creación de proyectos e ideas y al desarrollo de oportunidades para la comunidad local. Acoge talleres artísticos, eventos culturales, presentaciones, actividades deportivas y musicales, además de reuniones sobre temas juveniles y sociales, promoviendo la inclusión e integración de personas migrantes y en situación de vulnerabilidad. También sirve como residencia para artistas, alojamiento para voluntarios y refugio para peregrinos de la Magna Via Francigena. En este contexto, las personas voluntarias del Cuerpo Europeo de Solidaridad colaboran con el equipo local en la gestión general del centro, la organización de actividades culturales y artísticas, la logística (montaje de espacios, organización y limpieza), la acogida de peregrinos, la actualización de archivos y la gestión de redes sociales.

About the accommodation

Las personas voluntarias recibirán una ayuda económica para alimentación y una asignación mensual de bolsillo. Se alojarán en un apartamento cerca del moderno centro urbano de Milena y próximo al principal lugar de trabajo, el Magazzino Culturale “Ex oleificio”. El apartamento contará con todo lo necesario para alojar a las personas voluntarias. Ocasionalmente, la organización podrá alojar a algunos invitados por motivos institucionales o laborales. En esos casos, se informará a las personas voluntarias con suficiente antelación.

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
