Presentation of the program
https://www.logo.at/logo-eu/application-for-esc. Youth Centre ECHO is a space for active leisure activities, providing opportunities for friends to meet, play and sports, group crafts, themed workshops, identity development, celebrations, communal cooking, and much more. In the informal atmosphere of the Youth Centre, young people can explore their potential and receive support. The centre is open and welcoming to youth from all backgrounds. ECHO offers the learning support and coaching as well.
Opening Hours: Tuesday to Saturday afternoons, with 25-30 hours per week, offering fixed activities and project-specific initiatives.
Free and Open to All: All activities at ECHO are free and require no registration. The centre takes young people's needs seriously, listens to concerns, and implements ideas whenever possible.
About the accommodation
Accommodation is provided in a student dormitory in Graz, a single room in a shared flat. Local transportation to the centre (public transport ticket) is covered. As a volunteer you receive food allowance 330 Euro/ month and pocket money 210 Euro/ month - according to ESC program guidelines. Travel and visa costs are also covered by the program.
About the leisure
Volunteer will be welcomed as part of the team and supported in finding their role. You will have a mentor, join our team meetings and supervision. Volunteer will take part in On-Arrival Training and Mid-Term Training provided by the Austrian National Agency. A German language course is offered. Volunteer will receive continuous support from the team.
Requirements

Open, communicative, proactive and self-organised person, eager to work in a team; interested in community work and sustainability; experienced with office suite and social media platforms; some knowledge of pedagogical and social work; motivated to learn German and be able to communicate freely with the target group of the youth centre.

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
