Act for Transformation, established in 2007, is a dynamic non-profit dedicated to civil conflict transformation, peace education & global learning. Our mission is to foster positive change, particularly among youth, refugees, teachers, students, and marginalized groups Key Activities: -We collaborate with partner schools, youth clubs and advancing global learning, inclusion, and democracy education. -Actively participating in different volunteer programs, we annually send and host volunteers, supporting projects in Georgia, Armenia, Uganda, Sudan, and Georgia. -Conducting courses like "fairtogether" and "Demokratie Berater," we train multipliers, with a special focus on marginalized youth. Since 2020, 100 youth have been trained in the fairtogether methodology. -Engaging in projects since 2016, we focus on capacity building among marginalized youth in Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, including training courses and organizing intercultural exchanges. -Coordinating the "Ukrainian support network" in Aalen, we provide inclusion activities and psycho-social support to Ukrainian refugees. -In 2022, we have hosted a Civil Peace Service Worker from Sudan, contributing to peacebuilding efforts and fostering collaboration between communities. Are you from in Germany and looking for a chance to dive into meaningful youth work, get creative, and support grassroot social projects? Undertake a volunteering experience in Armenia with Armenian Progressive Youth! As a volunteer, you will help shape the community outreach and creative spaces. Your work will involve project work, teamwork, and space to develop your own ideas. Here’s what you’ll be doing: - Organising and supporting workshops, debates, and cultural events for and with local youth - Helping design and maintain creative spaces and youth hubs, including outdoor and garden areas - Taking part in media and communication activities, photography, video-making, or social media storytelling - Leading or co-leading youth engagement activities - Supporting grassroots community initiatives that promote participation, inclusion, and creativity - And if you are inspired, you’ll have the chance to design your own mini-project with guidance from the AYP team.

Volunteers stay in shared housing in Yerevan and Kotayk region (newly renovated youth center). Food allowance and pocket money are provided monthly. Travel costs to/from Armenia are provided based on ESC distance rules. Local transport is covered when needed.

Volunteers receive pre-departure preparation, on-arrival training in Armenia, and mid-term training with other ESC volunteers. APY provides regular mentoring, check-ins, and support to help each volunteer grow and reflect throughout the experience.

The Participant profile: We are looking for young people aged 18–30 from Germany who are motivated, open-minded, and eager to engage in meaningful community work. You don't need to be an expert or have years of experience. What matters most is your willingness to learn, contribute, and be part of a diverse, intercultural environment. This opportunity is ideal for people who are curious about youth activism, creative expression, intercultural dialogue, and grassroots social change. Some interest in event organisation, photography, media, or youth participation is welcome. You will be encouraged to bring your own ideas and shape your experience together with the APY team. We also welcome volunteers from diverse backgrounds and those with fewer opportunities. Basic English is helpful for communication, but you don’t need to be fluent. You’ll learn by doing — with plenty of support along the way.
