Presentation of the program

During “Volunteer to Help Addressing Social Issues V”, we tackle two main challenges: addressing the social problems faced by youth in our community and promoting volunteering as a catalyst for change. Through both local and international activities, we foster social inclusion, active citizenship, and solidarity among young people in the EU. Participants can choose to do their mobility in either Bals or Craiova City, engaging in impactful initiatives that create lasting positive change. Volunteers will be part of a dynamic, multicultural team, collaborating closely with diverse local stakeholders such as schools, NGOs, and community groups. Their activities will range from delivering interactive workshops in schools to organizing and participating in public events, including the Volunteering Festival. This environment will offer them the opportunity to share perspectives, learn from different cultural backgrounds, and contribute to meaningful community initiatives.

Extra information

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
