Presentation of the program
SPW is an NGO that promotes international volunteering, intercultural education and active citizenship. We organize and coordinate volunteering projects in Poland and support Polish youth to join projects abroad.
Examples of volunteer's tasks:
- Workcamps: helping with communication in recruitment process during workcamp season (March-August), supporting preparatory meetings and evaluations for Polish volunteers, leading camps in summer in Poland;
- ESC: supporting facilitation of trainings and workshops for other ESC volunteers in SPW (14 in total); proposing activities and games for better integration of the group; contacting other volunteers to arrange activities and exchange ideas;
- Education: popularising concepts of intercultural learning, social issues and promoting active citizenship through meetings and workshops in schools and in SPW; coordinate group tasks (with other vols) such as preparation of presentations etc.;

About the accommodation
- Accommodation: Single bedroom in a shared flat
- Local transport: Volunteer receives city transport pass which allows to use all means of public transport in Warsaw
- Food: Each volunteer receives 150 EUR per month and is cooking on their own in the flat
- Pocket money: 180 EUR/month
- International travel: reimbursement up to 211 EUR, 309 EUR or 395 EUR depending on the distance*
- Language support: access to an online language course (EU Academy) provided by the program
* a little extra fund is possible in case of "green travel"
About the leisure
- Orientation training (coordinating organization): introduction to the project, getting to know the cooridinators and the organization, integration with other volunteers, planning)
- On-arrival training (National Agency): Getting to know Poland, ESC introduction (5 days)
- Mid-term evaluation meeting (National Agency, 5 days)
- Final evaluation (coordinating organization)
- Evaluation meetings/trainings (coordinating organization): intercultural education, learning, cultural adaptation, communication (1 day, once every two months)
Requirements
The Participant profile: Participant profile:
- good interpersonal and communication skills, fine with talking in public, doesn't mind to appear on posts/videos/websites
- willing to be in contact with other volunteers, sociable, likes interacting with other people, willing to participate in group activities
- wants to meet new people and makes friends easily
- has participated in a workcamp at least once
- good level of English
- interested in non-formal education and wants to help actively in organizing volunteering projects, willing to learn
- enthusiastic, extroverted, having initiative and ideas
- creative, flexible (able to enjoy different types of activities - from office work to workshops and social gatherings)
- reliable and diligent
- interested in social topics, willing to expand knowledge about cultures, curious

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
