Presentation of the program
Through the project, part of the European Solidarity Corps, the volunteer, will participate actively in the actions of the facilities of IASIS NGO.The main goal is to learn how to develop and deliver non-formal learning activities for youth and people with mental disabilities, create an intervention to the local community, combat social exclusion of vulnerable groups, create equal opportunities and fresh perspectives for vulnerable groups of the population, and to promote mental health.
About the accommodation
The apartment is located in the Kato Patissia area and has a surface area of 40 square meters. It is centrally located, just an 11-minute walk from Kato Patissia metro station. This apartment is ideal for a group of 2 people and offers comfortable. The interior layout includes a fully equipped communal kitchen, living room and a bathroom. The house also has big terrace. The organization will provide the volunteer with a monthly card which allows the participant to use all public means of transport for free (Metro, Bus, etc). The volunteer will share the apartment with one European volunteer,
About the leisure
During the stay, the volunteer will create, facilitate and organize non-formal learning activities for youth of the local community and for people with mental health issues.Will be trained in aspects of non-formal education and familiarize with using them in the field .Furthermore will create, host, implement, coordinate and facilitate non-formal activities for youth and vulnerable people.Finally, will also organize a large scale event for the broader public and and additionally promote the actions and activities through several channels.
Requirements
The Participant profile: 18-30 years old, legal residents of one of the Erasmus+ programme countries, that they do not require visa to enter Greece.Eager to learn or already having the knowledge on how to give non-formal learning activities.Enthusiastic on creating learning activities and social intervention activities.Eager to take initiative and create opportunities for themselves and the society.Finally, willing to share their message to the world through social and visual media channels
