Presentation of the program

Project takes place in Kouvola, Finland in the milieu of Ankkapurha Youth Centre surrounded by nature. It is designed for two volunteers. Project is connected to daily work of Ankkapurha Youth Centre. Volunteer’s main job is to work with youth workers planning, organizing, and instructing youth groups. Volunteer may work with the staff of other sectors: kitchen, cleaning and janitor when there is no instructing to do or there is a need for extra hands. Instructing happens among the local youngsters in camp schools and other children/youth camps, events that take place in youth centre or local youth houses or schools. Volunteers will have a chance to help us invent new programs or activities. That way we offer volunteers a chance to give something from themselves and their culture to Youth Center’s work community and to our young customers while learning about Finnish culture. Project includes organizing a Christmas event with ESC-team. Volunteers are not left alone while working.
