Presentation of the program

Join La Víbria Intercultural as a European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteer and be part of a project focused on intercultural youth work, community engagement and radio production in Terrassa. As a volunteer, you will support the organization in different areas: Organizing and facilitating intercultural activities such as intercultural evenings, quiz nights on diverse topics, language exchange sessions and other activities that promote cross-cultural understanding and social cohesion; Supporting the community radio project, including content creation, production and editing of podcasts; Contributing to the development of the podcast “Voluntalks” about the European Solidarity Corps programme; Assisting in radio training for newcomers; Supporting the creation, editing and promotion of videopodcasts; Collaborating in communication tasks such as social media management, content creation, flyer distribution and promotional activities; Assisting with administrative tasks related to events

About the accommodation

You will be living in a fully equipped flat in the central area of Terrassa shared with other ESC volunteers. Some rooms are private, some shared with another person. Depending on the flat, it will be 15/20 minutes by walk from the office. Some bikes will be available to use. Working hours: 27h per week, Monday to Friday (2 homeoffice) + 3h of Catalan class per week. Weekends are normally free, except for some occasions when we participate in local activities or host international projects. About the leisure

- Knowledge of a wide range of youth mobility opportunities - Discovering all the steps of the implementation of a youth international project locally(from the idea to the realization) - Knowing all the phases of project management - Getting to know digital tools - Developing public speaking and leadership skills while preparing talks and facilitating NonFormal Education activities - 3h per week of Catalan lessons during all the stay -On-arrival and Mid-term training provided by Spanish National Agency - Training on the use of tools and methodologies of non-formal education to work with youth.

Requirements

The Participant profile: We are looking for someone that: Is passionate about intercultural exchange, social inclusion and community engagement Has interest or experience in youth work, facilitation and non-formal education Is creative and able to develop engaging ideas for activities and events Has good communication and interpersonal skills Has interest in radio, podcasting and content creation Has good organizational and multitasking skills Is comfortable working in a team environment Is flexible and adaptable to changing situations Has motivation to learn Catalan during the project Has basic knowledge of Spanish and/or Catalan (valued but not required)

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment.
