About the local hosting organization
MC LIANNE is a community-based organization that was established by persons with the aim of supporting the stability of young persons in difficulties and empowering the communities to find solutions to poverty and striving to improve the living conditions for children. The organization was established in the year 2005. The organization deals with; Education of young children, youth empowerment through vocational skills, caring for orphans and vulnerable children, caring for widows and elderly people, caring for the disabled, crop farming, tree planting, poultry keeping, and computer services.It started with the advent of HIV/Aids. It is currently running a community junior school with a vision to make them the best they can be with talents in outdoor activities including sports, music, and dancing. They are planning to start an avocational training skills center to provide education and empowerment to young people. They also have a youth Sacco that supports young people in investments. The beneficiaries are; 23 elderly people, the community at large, school-going children, 120 males, 135 females, and 50 widowsThe local economy of the people in Nyakach is; trade, agriculture, transportation, brick making, and quarry works. Since the project started the following has been archived, construction of a school for needy children, scholarship for orphans, and tools for vocational training. The total number of employees is 17 which includes 10 male and 7 female employees. Sources of funding are; their own contributions, well-wishers, friends, charities like the USA Ambassadors fund, and tools with a Mission UK. With the availability of funds, the following can be archived; renovation of the school and equipment of the school, computer lab, drilled water, a library, music room and equipment, art and craft room and equipment, and early year education (eye) classrooms.

About the accommodation
Food: Lunch will be provided at the project and breakfast and dinner will be provided at the host family. Only locally available foodstuffs are used for cooking. Our volunteer will be accommodated at the project

The areas of interest are; Lake Victoria, ox bow Lake Simbi Nyaima, Ruma national park, Masai Mara, Odino Dam (power station)
