About the local hosting organization

The Tuburan Rural Health Unit (RHU) in Tuburan, Cebu, aims to provide accessible, quality healthcare services to the local community, particularly in rural and underserved areas. Its mission is to promote health, prevent diseases, and improve overall well-being through a range of services, including maternal and child health care, immunization, emergency care, sanitation programs, and health education. The RHU also focuses on addressing public health issues such as malnutrition, vector-borne diseases, and communicable diseases, ensuring that residents have access to essential health services close to their homes. By strengthening health infrastructure, empowering local health workers, and promoting community involvement, the Tuburan RHU strives to create a healthier and more resilient population.

Presentation of the program

● Assist Health and Emergency services at the RHU
● Assist delivery in a birthing center
● Assist the regular conduct of community-based medical missions
● Assist nutrition-related preparations for its program
● Assist conduct of health-related training for communities
● Join monthly meetings of the barangay nutrition scholars
● Assist the different activities of the Barangay Nutrition Service (BNS)
● Assist with the reports of the municipal nutrition action coordinator

About the accommodation
