At the Uznach school, 800 students are taught by around 100 teachers from kindergarten to the upper school level in 10 school buildings. The music school, the family and school supplementary care (incl. lunch) as well as various therapy centers are also part of the school offer. Furthermore, youth work, housekeeping and the coordination of early support services are part of the school's area of responsibility.

Activities:

Volunteer tasks:

- Accompanying small children on their way to school
- Assisting individual students complementary to the normal classes (private tutoring)
- Supporting teachers during classes
- Accompanying classes for events like school excursions and school camps
- Potentially support individual teachers and school administration with the development of IT-tools and/or help with IT/computing related projects
- Help taking care of students at the midday meal the school provides and participating in youth work of the municipality Uznach

Uznach is a small town in the northeastern part of Switzerland, very close to the eastern shore of the Lake of Zurich.

- Interested in working with children and teenagers (education & caretaking)
- Open, joyful, patient and happy to help
- Prior pedagogical education or experience with children or teenagers is helpful, but not required.
- IT and computing knowledge is helpful
- At least 27 years old

Les projets ICYE couvrent l’ensemble des dépenses sauf le transport et les frais de visas. Contrairement à d’autres organisations, ils offrent de nombreux services qui seront très utiles lors du volontariat comme la formation pré-départ ou les séminaires à l’arrivée du volontaire, en milieu et en fin de programme.De plus, le transport depuis l’aéroport d’arrivée jusqu’au lieu de l’activité est assuré, ainsi qu’une assurance médicale.

Participation fees of ICYE projects vary from 5500 to 6800 euros.
During the project volunteers get pocket money, accommodation and meals.
