About the local hosting organization
"Centro Mi Nueva Vida" is the only one legally constituted center in the city of the Santo Domingo de Los Tsachilas, it supports to 12-year-old male adolescents to 17 years 6 months with problematic drug and alcohol use, it offers professional attention in: Psychology, general medicine, social work, pedagogical classroom, nursing, spiritual therapies, occupational therapies, recreational and personal experiences. We have 3690m2 of a comfortable infrastructure according to our needs located in a natural environment, away from the noise of the city, with functional access roads, the infrastructure includes: kitchen, dining room, therapy room, workshops, offices, laundry area, green spaces, sports fields etc. Objective: Contribute as civil society to the improvement of the quality of life of the Ecuadorian youth. Promote through various strategies the prevention of the consumption of drugs and alcohol at an early age. Raise awareness in society about this phenomenon that is invading in an accelerated way to one of the weakest age groups such as the teenagers. Goals Our greatest desire is to contribute to strengthen values in families and to be able to help our young people to be free beings and forgers of dreams. Through our work and experience, we have been able to guide our young people so that they can choose a correct professional profile, today we have young people attending university and struggling to achieve a professional career.
Presentation of the program
Les tâches du volontaire constitueront à accompagner les jeunes du centre et à participer aux activités proposées.
Extra information
Minimum time of participation: 12 weeks up to one year.
Program fee: 1200 USD, must be paid at your arrival before going to the project.
Cost includes: 12 weeks of accommodation and three meals per day, laundry facilities and internet after working
hours. Cost does not include: Any kind of transportation, bottled water, extra food and beverages, calls.
