Présentation du programme
SOLARIC project is looking for the next 10 young volunteers who will be working across two different community-based initiatives in Kampala suburbs, engaging in education, vocational training, youth empowerment, and cultural exchange activities, supporting schools and training centers that cater to children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Key Activities:
- Supporting formal and informal education in local schools.
- Facilitating arts, music, and sports activities for children and youth.
- Assisting in vocational training programs, including carpentry, performing arts, and entrepreneurship.
- Engaging in environmental conservation and urban gardening projects.
- Collaborating with teachers, trainers, and community members to create meaningful learning experiences.
SOLARIC project is coordinated by IOA (Bulgaria), Uganda Pioneers Association (UG) and Cazalla Intercultural (ES).
À propos de l'hébergement
Volunteers will stay in a shared 3-bedroom apartment in Kasubi. The apartment is furnished and equipped with water, gas, and electricity. There are bunk beds, wardrobes and sofas.
Volunteers will manage their own meals, either cooking together or individually. Local markets and supermarkets provide affordable food options.
Volunteers will commute daily to their assigned project site on foot or by using public transport (taxis/matatus). Some may use boda bodas (motorcycle taxis) for shorter distances.
Volunteers will travel as a group to Uganda, with a coordinated trip organized by us.
À propos des loisirs
Pre-departure training will be provided by Cazalla Intercultural (ES) and IOA (BG), covering project expectations, cultural adaptation, and logistical preparations. The training will be online, on the 24 and 25 of July 2025.

- Introduction to the local communities and project objectives.
- Workshops/Observation practice on teaching methods, youth engagement, and cultural exchange.
