Présentation du programme
Are you eager to help us out with our daily activities at a unique off-grid location, where you can develop practical skills in animal care, renovation, and green maintenance? Help out with the preparations for an event? This is a project for those who love practical outdoor work, aren't afraid to get their hands dirty, and have a go-getter mentality with a proactive attitude. We place a strong emphasis on sustainable living. Our animal family includes 2 cows, 5 horses used for coaching with the homeless, sheep, 2 pigs, chickens, geese, an aviary, 2 dogs, and a cat. The tasks are physically demanding, and the weather can be challenging in the Netherlands.
À propos de l'hébergement
The accommodation is at BioArt Village, a beautiful location surrounded by a forest inside the city of Eindhoven. The place is off-grid, fulfilling basic needs, and participants must approach this with a non-wasteful mindset. Common areas include the bathroom, kitchen, and living room. In addition to pocket money, you also receive food money, so basic cooking skills are necessary. The center and shops are around 20 minutes by bike. A public transit bus stop is just around the corner. Airport is nearby.
À propos des loisirs
Our project offers multiple durations, so there is something for everyone. We provide short-term volunteering with a minimum duration of two months, and long-term volunteering when possible (up to 6 months). During your time assisting us in developing BioArt Village, you'll have the opportunity to learn more about renovation, animal care, permaculture gardening, and green maintenance. Training in these areas will be provided during the activity.
Exigences
The Participant profile: We are looking for volunteers who are interested in nature, like physical outdoor work, and who embrace living off-grid. They should be ready to tackle challenges, capable of daily sustainable animal care, outdoor work, and assisting with restoring the area. Participants are able to work independently and effectively as team players. A positive attitude and strong motivation are essential. We encourage individuals with fewer opportunities to apply, and understanding and living sustainably with limited resources is crucial. Please note that participants must be in good mental and physical health to perform the required tasks and commit to staying in the program for its entire duration.
