À propos de l'organisme d'accueil local

DCTR is a non-profit cultural association that works with various ages, exploring the potential for personal and social transformation through dance with the intersection of other Artistic, Educational, Technological and Sport areas. With the informal and non-formal, voluntary and participatory dynamics, the intention is to develop the human potential of the individual and of the community as a whole, highlighting the contribution of each one to the construction of cohesion and social balance. At DCTR it is believed that great positive transformations arise when people intersect and connect, bringing profound and lasting change to the community. DCTR's mission is to develop human potential and bring benefits to the community in which each one is inserted. For this reason, our organization is active in the field of training and personal and social development especially through art. Thus, it can be defined as the purposes of the intervention of this organization: - Support, develop and promote the harmonious development of the community; - Foster and develop cooperation and solidarity between young people and the community based on the realization of social, cultural and educational initiatives; - Promote the recognition and diffusion of knowledge and information, cooperating with public and private entities, national and foreign, aiming at the social and cultural development of the community and its proactive involvement in artistic and cultural dynamics; - Develop initiatives for training, in order to enhance skills and learning, increase autonomy and sustainability and strengthen personal and social identity; - Integrate across the board the principles of networking and partnership between organizations, promoting the creation of joint actions and projects and strengthening the capacities of each party; - Integrate voluntary and inclusive participation methodologies, highlighting the potential of each one, according to their expectations and future visions. We believe that creative processes allow us to open doors and untie thoughts and behaviors, bringing a particular way of thinking and acting, both personally and socially. DCTR understands that creative processes and the involvement and reflection on them are an asset for the individual. Therefore, it intends to carry out projects that contemplate the integral and social development of young people and their ability to execute, create and appreciate different forms and styles, from a young age and with impacts throughout their life. It is through a coherent and persistent work process that it is understood, whether intuitively or more consciously, that the involvement in social and artistic dynamics provides interesting results and impacts and with a potential for group development and the capacity for expression emotion. Throughout our journey and the dynamics we advocate, we aim to achieve the following objectives: General: - Empower young people with “creative tools” for personal and social development, through learning and training dynamics of body expression (for example, artistic movements; images; of space; of texts; of objects; of sound / silence; of the senses; etc. .). Specific: -Develop the participants' creative skills and professional development through volunteering, training courses, job shadowing and youth exchange programs; -Promote social inclusion through active participation in democratic life and in society in general; -Dynamize national and international cultural spaces and actions, involving people in a set of dynamics aimed at community development; -Interact proactively, opening opportunities for everyone to participate, in a plural, constructive, inclusive and supportive environment, increasing the sense of iniciative and entrepreunership; -Promote the ability to address societal challenges, inclusive and voluntary methodologies, and dynamics that encourage individual and community contributions ; -Promote work opportunities in partnership, ensuring plural intervention in responding to problems and needs, boost volunteer and team skills and provide them life changing experience, most of them individuals with fewer opportunities. - Leave positive impact on society and become positive change maker by combining youth and adult work from different backgrounds with different skills seeking more modern, dynamic, committed and professional environment inside our organisation; -Promote the rapprochement between young people, communities and local, regional, national and international organizations

Présentation du programme

Anticipated Tasks: Volunteers will engage in a diverse range of tasks that include organizing and participating in second hand clothing fairs, continue to create a mobile application that maps second hand clothing stores, and conducting awareness campaigns against food waste. They will have the chance to collaborate with local schools, engage in event planning and contribute to community-focused initiatives. They will help organize projects, as well as creating content. Daily Routine: Volunteers can expect a dynamic daily routine that involves learning opportunities, and collaboration with other volunteers and community members. Activities include workshops on sustainability, event planning sessions, involvement in community outreach, and dedicated time for app development and mapping. Support: Volunteers will be provided with comfortable accommodation. Each participant will receive pocket money to facilitate personal expenses, and a separate fund will be for food.

À propos de l'hébergement

Our primary goal is to create an environment where participants can fully engage in project activities, knowing that their basic needs are taken care of. The combination of pocket money and allocated funds for essential expenses (like food) will enable participants to focus on their roles and contributions to the project's success, while also ensuring that all financial matters are handled responsibly. Also, the expenses related with the travel will be covered by us.

À propos des loisirs

Volunteers will understand the impact of the textile industry and food waste. Events like second-hand fairs and awareness actions are also part of the project. Volunteers will receive training in event organization. They will have the opportunity to closely understand how a NGO works, as well as participate in the implementation and development of Erasmus projects. Empowering them to take leadership roles and initiate positive changes is a key objective. Basic language support will also be offered, to engage confidently with the project's stakeholders.

Informations complémentaires

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
