À propos de l'organisme d'accueil local
Our association, the House of Youth and Culture "Le Rond-Point" is an association of popular education of the type law 1901.
I ) Our objectives :
1) To promote access to culture, digital, leisure, sports for all and, in particular, for the public most distant from these practices.
About thirty different activities: plastic and scenic arts, well-being, dances, sports, digital ...
Development of the sport and social inclusion component: with audiences who are far from these practices (RSA beneficiaries, emergency shelters, refugees and migrants, etc.).
Same thing for sport and health-being : senior citizens, independent residences, hospitals, special education (disability ...).
Labeling by the Normandy region as a Resource Center and Digital Territorial Animation (CRANT).
2) Accompanying young people in their different paths, especially in the implementation of initiatives and individual or collective projects integrating both local and international dimensions.
Reception and sending of European volunteers.
Integration of volunteers with our professional teams: civic service at the national and international level (partnership with Guinea, Morocco).
Promotion of a local grant for young people to multiply their projects on the territory.
Relay of the regional device "Atouts Normandie": promotion of the leisure section.
Presence on social networks and digital monitoring for young people with the departmental "Promeneurs du Net".
3) Giving a voice to as many people as possible, promoting local scene and regional artists through the use of our media : KOLECTIV' radio.
Training young people from the neighborhoods to interview their elders.
Intergenerational broadcasts with our young volunteers and seniors.
Setting up of thematic weeks:
- the fight against discrimination,
- anti-Semitism and anti-LGBT hate / gender equality ...
Portrait of women from the territory.
Local social information programs ...
4) Contribute to the attractiveness of our territory and to the dynamism of the life basin.
Organization of events: break dance battle, neighborhood party, show, youth forum, citizenship ...
Development of the associative life: implementation of an educational coherence with the various youth actors of the territory, exchanges of practices...
II ) Our organizational structure and socio-economic context :
Taking into account the elements mentioned above, we propose you a zoom on our team :
- Our elected administrators.
- Our volunteers who allow us to propose activities at affordable costs or even symbolic for some practices: storytelling, scrabble, skateboarding, bobbin lace, youth drawing, boxing, video game creation ...
- Our salaried instructors: artistic nude, theater, stretching and sports awakening, painting ...
- Our speakers with independent statutes: auto-entreprise, company ... (break dance, classical dance, yoga ...).
- Our permanent staff with a team that has been growing for 8 years: a director, an accountant-administrative manager, a receptionist, a youth coordinator, an animator and a radio technician, a sports educator.
- Our volunteers : whether they are young people in CES, our national civic services or at the international level.
Their presence is also an added value to spread a transmission by the peers and to allow the young people of the territory to become aware that they too can commit themselves and do.
In addition to these different elements, it is important to mention our partnership approach in terms of educational coherence on the territory (media library, community, schools, sports, cultural and solidarity associations ...).
Beyond these "operational" partnerships, we have the support of institutions : Europe, the State, the region, the department, the community of communes, the national sports agency and the regional health agency, the conference of
funders, the regional direction of cultural affairs, the national music center...
Our association has had an auditor for a year who validates our accounts at the end of each year.
We have premises put at our disposal by the municipality.
To conclude this chapter, we indicate that the locality is located in a rural department with a classification in Zone of Rural Revitalization (ZRR), also several districts of which one in QPV (rough area urban affairs)

Exigences
The Participant profile: Most of all, we are looking for someone motivated and not afraid of getting out of its confort zone. Living aborad is an amazing and wonderful experience but it won’t be that easy everyday of your journey. You shall want to learn new things, create, try it and share new perspectives. You eventually will be able to take initiatives once you get used to life here.
Communication and organisation skills will be promoted. You shall have a certain degree of sensibility to promote cultural awareness, even more for people who has limited access to it.
