À propos de l'organisme d'accueil local

Permacultura Cantabria (PC) saw its origins when a group of committed young people started to organise events, activities and trainings, which gradually expanded with our interests, until in 2005 we officially registered the entity. PC develops its main activity in Cantabria, with young people (16-30 years old) and other disadvantaged population of the community, especially now that it wants to implement volunteer projects to support the work that the organisation plans to carry out with the Ukrainian community in Cantabria, such as unemployed people, families, people with disabilities, retired people, etc, but also from other regions of Spain and Europe. Our activities are also aimed at multiplier agents (educators, youth workers, heads of organisations, companies, trade unions, public managers and those interested in dissemination activities, etc.). PC plans, develops and delivers its own non-formal education and training programmes, based on the demand of the staff, partners and users we work with (adapting to the needs of the group and participants, their interests and ways of learning), in 2 main lines of work: Sustainability (climate change, permaculture, bio-construction, ecological agriculture, agro-tourism, sustainable rural development and appropriate use of natural resources) Human development (personal growth, entrepreneurship, emotional intelligence and management, inclusion, conflict management, gender equality, abuse of power, social inclusion)

Présentation du programme

Our intention is nothing other than to consolidate the role of volunteers in our organization, recognizing the enormous potential that comes with having them, thus creating spaces for volunteers to act and express themselves according to their abilities and interests. Thanks to their contributions, we aim to solidify our organization's work in writing and implementing European projects. POSSIBLE TASKS: Support our association in various ways: translating documents, creating educational materials, helping with intellectual outputs, assisting and participating in youth exchanges, training courses, and European mobilities,etc. Advocate for European values, including solidarity, environmental consciousness, and volunteerism. Cultivate positive relationships with the local community. Disseminate content across various social media platforms. We believe volunteering here is a chance to discover your professional path, learn valuable skills, and connect with inspiring people.

À propos de l'hébergement

Shared accommodation in a fully equipped housing in Sarón, close to shops, medical services, sports facilities and dining options. Meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are provided, with dietary needs accommodated. A monthly pocket money of €6 per day is included. The volunteering site features an on-site restaurant with catering services. Transportation expenses are covered, with a round-trip allowance with different budget depending the country and the distance form Sarón (we take as reference the Erasmus+ official Distance Calculator). Exigences

The Participant profile: We are looking for five motivated young individuals interested in European projects and non-formal education. We seek volunteers with good communication skills in English, Spanish, or other European languages, and the ability to work with translations and adapt content for different audiences. Applicants should have digital literacy, confidence in using computers, online tools, and social media, as well as organizational skills to assist in planning and implementing events, training courses, and workshops. Adaptability, kindness, and a willingness to embrace both educational and hands-on activities are equally crucial traits.

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment. At the same time, the organisations participating in the initiative devote a great deal of time, energy and resources to set up a high-quality activity; they should therefore expect that European Solidarity Corps participants show a similar level of respect for the local communities and the people that are directly concerned by the activities (https://youth.europa.eu/solidarity/mission_en).
