Jugendakademie Walberberg (JAW) is a centre for non-formal education youth which has long-standing experience in the organization of seminars and training courses on various topics and methods regarding non-formal education. The house organizes around 100 educational seminars per year, as well as hosting groups as a conference Centre. There are seminars carried out in the following areas: -personality development, political and religious education, gender-specific educational work and diversity conscoius education with pupils of all ages and from different types of schools, especially with "disadvantaged" young people - bilateral and multilateral youth exchanges with "disadvantaged" young people with European partners from Ireland, Scotland, France, Poland, Hungary, Italy, Bulgaria, Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina focusing on political education and intercultural learning - On-Arrival Trainings and mid-term-meetings within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps - Pre-departure seminars for young people with access barriers who take part in international voluntary services and/or apprenticeships - (International) trainings and conferences for multipliers of schools and youth work - Seminars for Young People with a Migrational Background on political participation/diversity in Europe - Day events in the rope garden / on the climbing wall for local and regional Groups focused on teambuilding and social learning 1.) Die Jugendakademie Walberberg e.V. ist eine außerschulische Bildungseinrichtung, welche langjährige Erfahrungen im Bereich der Organisation und Durchführung von nonformalen Seminar- und Trainingsangeboten mit einem breiten Themenspektrum hat. Die Jugendakademie führt in etwa 100 Eigentagungen im Jahr im Haus durch und dient Gastgruppen als Tagungshaus. Es werden Seminare mit folgenden Zielgruppen und Themenschwerpunkten durchgeführt: • Seminare für Schulklassen aller Schulformen im Bereich der Persönlichkeitsbildung, der politischen und religiösen Bildung, der geschlechtsspezifischen sowie der diversitätsbewussten Bildungsarbeit. • Bilaterale und multilaterale Jugendbegegnungen mit sog. „benachteiligten“ Jugendlichen mit Europäischen Partnern aus Irland, Schottland, Frankreich, Polen, Ungarn, Italien, Bulgarien, Griechenland und Bosnien-Herzegowina. Die Begegnungen werden zumeist im Bereich der politischen Bildung sowie des interkulturellen Lernens durchgeführt. • Einführungstrainings und Zwischenseminare im ESK • Ausreiseseminare für Jugendliche mit sog. „Benachteiligungen“ in verschiedenen internationalen bzw. europäischen Mobilitätsprogrammen im Bereich der Freiwilligendienste und Praktika • (Internationale) Konferenzen und Multiplikator*innenveranstaltungen für Multiplikator*innen aus Schule und Jugendarbeit • Seminare für Jugendliche mit Flucht-/Migrationsgeschichte zu politischer Partizipation/Empowerment in Europa • Tagesveranstaltungen im Niedrig- und Hochseilgarten bzw. an der Kletterwand für lokale und regionale Gruppen mit dem Schwerpunkt Teambuilding/soziales Lernen

Présentation du programme

Our international volunteering team is open to 20 young people, 5 people each from Germany, Italy, Greece and Bulgaria. For a duration of two weeks, the 20 young people will live together in the Walberberg Youth Academy and work in a nearby orchard (picking fruits, water trees, making compost, building biotopes for bees, creative art-projects linked to biodiversity...). In addition, there will be workshops and excursions on the topics of climate change and biodiversity, as well as trips to the surrounding area (e.g. Cologne/Bonn).

À propos de l'hébergement

The participants will be accommodated at the Jugendakademie Walberberg. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee and cake, as well as dinner, will be provided daily. On excursion days, participants will receive a packed lunch instead of lunch at the academy.

The Participant profile: Young people aged between 18 - 27 years old interesetd in volunteering at an orchard and creative & hands-on projects.

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment.
