FPD was founded in 2009, thanks the Regional Governament which granted its foundation on the basis of the activities planned for the social development of the regional rural areas. It is a non-profit regional civil organization, made by young and senior people. It's mission is to promote and facilitate the development of rural areas of the Puglia Region, thanks to the implementation of projects concerning volunteering, youth, social inclusion, environment protection, sustainable development, promotion of the importance of biodiversity, organic farming, nature and sport and outdoor activities. FPD focuses its attention on European mobility, both for the personal development of its single members and for the growth of local partner organizations at International level. The main target group is youth under 35 y.o., but the organization also works with senior people. Both the categories have in common the fact they are made of disadvantaged people from rural areas. The young people are mainly NEET, which means FPD offers them several opportunities to learn, be trained and educated at local and European level in order to enrich their curricula and get more chances for their job-placement or self-employment. FPD cooperates with several Public and Private entities at all levels, such as: a) Municipality of Taurisano (IT) - FPD cooperates in the organization of local events in several fields (waste collection, Music festivals, youth participation in decision making processes, cultural activities, music events, photo exhibitions....); b) Province of Lecce (IT) – FPD had a project concerning young people's involvement in local initiatives concerning ecology and biological food, re-use of different materials and recycle of waste; c) Region of Puglia (IT) – FPD cooperates with its Region on projects concerning promotion of natural resources of rural areas; d) Several EU NGOs are partners in the implementation of Youth Exchanges, Youth and Democracy projects, Training Courses, seminars, workshops, volunteering activties in different fields. What is more, FPD is member of numerous European Networks financed by the Europe for Citizens Programme, for the valorization of the EU Cultural Heritage (tangible, intangible, digital and natural), the promotion of Youth Mobility for learning, training, working, studying and volunteering abroad, the active participation (mainly digital participation) at EU level of youth and seniors.

The association Centro Social Pet was born in July 2013 in Matera, Italy. It is affiliated to the National Educational Sports Centre (recognised by CONI) and its main purpose is to encourage the development of amateur sports activities, through the promotion, dissemination and exercise of dog activities with great attention Pet Therapy. The combination of sport & nature gave birth to "Il giardino di Nunù" (Nunù's garden) in June 2018. It aims to promote growth and educational activities in nature for children aged 3 to 6. Il giardino di Nunù offers children the opportunity to live in harmony doing activities inspired by Montessori, both indoor and outdoor every day from 8:00 to 16:00; to do experiential learning, contact with animals and nature, and language diversity through the volunteers. The association also organizes experiential workshops, educational projects in schools, seminars, conferences and training courses to encouraging the active participation of citizens.

To reach to the project site it is necessary to use a bus (15 min) or drive the bike (25 min), so it is important to be punctual. Volunteers do stay in double rooms, inside a flat shared with other European volunteers. The flats are 10 min walking distance from the city center. The apartments are self-managed by the persons who life inside. cleaning, shopping, cooking) and everyone needs to follow basic rules. Volunteer receives monthly food money (200€) + pocket money (5€ per day);

The topic of solidarity is part of our association, as it is part of the life of the members involved. Through our activities we pass on the basic elements of solidarity directly and unfiltered to the children who are part of our NGO. Welcoming a volunteer from another European country is a further element of concreteness that we can demonstrate to our children. The volunteer will experience from inside what means: outdoor education, dog and animal therapy, the concept of Forest Kindergarten and Montessori. The Participant profile: We are searching for a solar person who loves children and education, who like to be outside and be in contact with nature; a person ready to help wherever needed with artistic, musical or sportive competences to share with the staff and the little kids of the nursery; language wise it helps if the volunteers speaks basic italian or understands at least, but fundamental that the volunteer wants to learn Italian (the staff does have little English skills); Age 20 - 28 years Experience in the field of education, out-door education or sport is appreciated.
