À propos de l'organisme d'accueil local
Onestin Youth Association was created in December 2005. We have well over 150 members ranging between 14 and 35 years of age from different social backgrounds.
The members of the Onestin Youth Association have established themselves as a NGO interested in promoting youth activities, which aim to achieve better inter-human communication and build strong partnerships through the development and involvement in social and cultural projects at local, national and international scale.
Throughout the lifespan of our NGO we have developed and maintained a series of different youth activities, according to the community needs. Onesti is a former industrial town that used to have an intellectual background profile but, over the years it has suffered a major workforce migration and depopulation. Therefore, Onestin Youth Association has been built to develop the community life, more precisely to increase the civic values and to involve the youth in the social life of the town by providing them a wide variety of activities and actions. Namely, we have had music courses, children summer activities: ”Gradinita de Vara 2011-2013” an official choir ”Corul Onestin 2005-2019”, theatre workshops facilitated by Simona Vasilica Nica (actress at Bacau Municipal Theatre and Diana Croitoru (actress at National Theatre, Bucharest), Communication and Media: ”Şcoala de vară în jurnalism şi comunicare”, workshops about traditional culture, citizenship and youth law: ”Campania de recrutare”, ”Săptămâna Naţională a Voluntariatului”, ”1 Decembrie”, ”6 Decembrie”, European Youth in Action and Erasmus projects, social and human rights conferences, charitable and eco-educational activities: ”1 Iunie - Fă o bucurie dăruind o jucărie!” and ”Caritate de Crăciun și Paște.” In conclusion, we aim to preserve and promote the moral, cultural and intercultural values, at a local, national and international scale.
