Présentation du programme

The library serves the inhabitants of Przasnysz town and its neighbourhood. It performs the traditional role of a library and conducts activities in the field of culture and education aimed at different age groups. Volunteers will be supporting the staff in the preparation and running of activities aimed at readers and inhabitants. They will create content and manage social media, such as TikTok and Instagram. They will also have the opportunity to realize their own initiatives, especially those adding an intercultural dimension. Examples of tasks: Supporting events such as excursions, workshops, and concerts - Organizing educational activities such as language cafes and meetings at high schools, handicraft, and STEM workshops - Promoting reading and organizing meetings with children - Taking photos and creating videos for Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. À propos de l'hébergement

Accommodation: Flat shared with another volunteer of the same gender: common bedroom and a living room - Location: The project is located in Przasnysz, a town of 17,000 inhabitants located in northern Masovia. It is situated around 100 km north of WAW and has a bus connection (around 2h 20 min by bus) - Food: Each volunteer receives 150 EUR per month and is cooking on their own in the flat - Pocket money: 180 EUR/month - International travel: Reimbursement up to 211 EUR, 309 EUR or 395 EUR depending on the distance - Language support: Online language course (EU Academy) provided

- Orientation training (coordinating organization): introduction to the project, getting to know the coordinators and the organization, integration with other volunteers and mentors, planning - On-arrival training (National Agency): Getting to know Poland, ESC introduction (5 days) - Mid-term evaluation meeting (National Agency, 5 days) - Final evaluation (coordinating organization) - Evaluation meetings/trainings (coordinating organization): intercultural education, learning, cultural adaptation, communication (once every two months)

The Participant profile: - Friendly, making relationships with people easily and willing to work with people of different ages (from children to seniors) - Communicative English - Creative, independent, and ready to have their own ideas and initiative - Doesn't mind living in a small town - Reliable and diligent - Interested in culture.

The project is implemented under the European Solidarity Corps Programme, financed by the European Commission.
The participating organisations have to be mindful of these needs as they are responsible for providing a respectful and trusting hosting environment.
