À propos de l'organisme d'accueil local
The organization ¨Atbalsts ģimenēm¨ (¨Support for Families¨) started its activities at the end of 2008, currently more than 30 members are registered in it. The main objective of the activity is to promote initiatives that improve the living conditions of families, children and young people in Valka county. Identifying leisure and employment opportunities for young people and creating new values are one of the priorities that the organization works with on a daily basis, these are topics where young people are happy to get involved.
The long-term objective of the organization is to organize and implement different ideas and activities through the possibilities of non-formal education, where citizens, the municipality, entrepreneurs and the non-governmental sector would take part. The involvement of young people in these kind of collaborations has proven that through non-formal education methods and practical activities, it is possible to demonstrate how a young person can become an active participant, regardless of what kind of family or environment they come from.
